West Bengal:BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha expressed his outrage over the murders of a primary school teacher and his family in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.

He also took to Twitter to express his disappointment towards the West Bengal government and to question the 'award wapsi gang' on their silence on this issue.

“Why did 48 'celebrities' who recently showed their 'concern' for 'lynching' become silent when Bandhu Prakash, his wife, and 8-year-old child, were mercilessly killed in Murshidabad?” tweeted Sinha.

He said that the number of murders in West Bengal are increasing, yet CM Mamata Banerjee has done nothing in reaction.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha

"This was not the first murder in West Bengal. In fact, the number of murders in the state is increasing, yet CM Banerjee has done nothing to bring the situation under control."

"Mamata Banerjee should, in fact, resign from her position," he added.

Commenting on the 'award wapsi gang', he said, "None of them has raised a single question over this situation. Where are they? And why has the West Bengal government still not formed a committee to look into the matter?"

Adding to his complaints, Sinha said, "The Mamata Banerjee government is actually acting like the Mussolini government by not getting justice to the victims."

The bodies of the three victims were found in a pool of blood in their residence in the Jiaganj area of Murshidabad on Wednesday.
