Cooch Behar:Udayan Guha, former Trinamool Congress MLA from the Dinhata Assembly constituency in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district, has been injured following an attack on him on Thursday allegedly by the BJP-backed goons.
He has been admitted to a local hospital along with a few of his supporters.

The incident took place after clashes broke out between TMC and BJP supporters in the powerhouse area of the Dinhata town.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Ajay Ray has alleged that it was Guha who asked his supporters to attack the BJP workers which resulted in a clash.

Since the Trinamool Congress won the 2021 West Bengal State Assembly polls by defeating the BJP, reports of post-election violence have emerged from across the state.
This time, Guha again contested from Trinamool Congress but was defeated by BJP’s Nithish Pramanik.
