WB: Posters threatening to behead TMC leader, BJP workers surface

Unknown miscreants have issued threat posters to behead a TMC leader and BJP workers in Nimta and New Town areas of West Bengal. The posters have created a sensation across the two areas and an investigation is on in the matter.

Kolkata: Two posters threatening to behead a Trinamool Congress leader and BJP workers created a sensation in Nimta and New Town areas of the state on Wednesday.

The poster at Nimta, around 15 km from Kolkata in North 24 Parganas district, threatened to decapitate Nirmal Bala for working for the Trinamool.

"Nirmal Bala, you are working for Trinamool. We will sever your head and play football with it. Others are also there," said the poster written in red ink.

It concludes with "Jai Shri Ram" and "BJP Zindabad".

The poster at New Town issued a direct threat. It read, "If anybody works for the BJP, I will behead him and take the head with me."

The police are investigating the matter.
