MP Mahua Moitra attacks Modi over Lancet editorial

TMC leader and member of parliament Mahua Moitra took to Twitter to attack the Modi government over the Lancet editorial criticizing the Modi government's handling of the virus in the country.

Kolkata: Coronavirus cases have surged all across India, overwhelming the country's medical infrastructure. Political parties have repeatedly questioned the role of the centre in controlling the coronavirus situation. Recently, the Modi government has come under sharp criticism by the international medical journal 'The Lancet' over the Corona situation in the country.

In an editorial, The Lancet attacked the Modi government saying that the government is more interested in deleting tweets than in dealing with the pandemic in the country.

TMC leader and member of Parliament Mahua Moitra also took to Twitter to attack the Modi government over the Lanceteditorial.

The Lancetin its latest editorial has severely criticized the Modi government for its handling of the virus in the country. "India squandered its early successes in controlling COVID-19," the journal stated referencing the stark contrast in handling the first and the second wave of the virus.
