South Parganas: West Bengal police on Thursday arrested a man forallegedly making a hoax call to the Police Control Room here and threatening a bomb blast.
Arkaprava Ganguly, a resident of Maheshtala in South 24 Parganas district, was picked up on Wednesday night for dialing 100, a day before and threat call to trigger an explosion, a police official said.

"All concerned officials were alerted and necessary checks initiated, especially in the vulnerable pockets. Simultaneously, we also tracked down the caller. It was found that the accused made a hoax call just to have fun," she said.
An FIR has been registered against Ganguly, who identified himself as a freelance photographer.
