West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today has announced that the state government will provide free vaccines to all above the age of 18 years starting from May 5.

Tapan:West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today has announced that the state government will provide free vaccines to all above the age of 18 years starting from May 5.

Mamata was addressing an election rally in Tapan in Dakshin Dinajpur. The TMC supremo said, "After May 5, the election procedures will be over and we will start universal vaccination. Anyone above the age of 18 years and who is willing to get the vaccine, can avail of it without any cost. The state government will bear the entire cost of vaccination. We are giving it free of cost even now and we will continue the process for all."

The Chief Minister also added that adequate beds have already been arranged along with oxygen to tackle the sudden surge of Covid-19 cases in the state.
