WB: 'Jai Shri Ram' question in school exam angers BJP

BJP workers protest after questions on 'Jai Shree Ram' and 'cut money' appear on exam question papers in West Bengal's Hooghly district.

New Delhi:BJP workers in West Bengal flapped after students in a school, appearing for an exam were asked to write on how the 'Jai Shree Ram' slogans have been disrupting the society. Also another topic that read, "Bold step of the government to stop corruption by returning cut money" was equally criticised by the BJP workers.

The students were asked to write 'a newspaper report' for their exam paper that'd fetch them 'full marks'.

The BJP lashed out at the school authorities, along with the ruling Trinamool Congress for framing questions having political overtones. However, no official complaint was lodged.

The school later, cancelled the questions after a demonstration by the party workers.

“Since, the matter was objected by a section of people, we have decided to cancel these two questions. If anyone attempted to answer it, the student would be given full marks,” headmaster of Akna Union High School in Hooghly district, Rohit Pyne said.

Further, the teacher who set the question paper had to issue an apology, following the uproar.
