EC transfers police officers in Birbhum, West Bengal

The Election Commission has ordered the transfer of three more police officers in the Birbhum district ahead of the final phase of the Bengal polls. Birbhum will go for polls in the eighth phase on April 29.

Birbhum:The Election Commission has ordered the transfer of three more police officers in the Birbhum district ahead of the final phase of the Bengal polls. Birbhum will go for polls in the eighth phase on April 29.

Sheikh Mohammed Ali was posted in Nalhati Polic station and was infected with Covid-19. He is currently under treatment. Officer Ranjit Bauri has been posted in his place. Ranjit was earlier posted at Jaydeb outpost.

The name of the second police officer is Biplab Dutta. He was earlier a sub-inspector in Rampurhat police station. Now he is posted in place of Ranjit Bauri at the Jaydeb police station.

The third police office is Debabrata Sinha, who has been transferred out. He was officer-in-charge of Dubrajpur police station. Now Prasenjit Dutta has been brought to replace him.
