Kolkata (West Bengal):The West Bengal government, on Wednesday, announced the extension of the COVID-19 induced restrictions till July 30. However, considering the improving situation and the southward COVID-19 graph, the state government allowed further relaxation during the interim period.
The state government announced that from July 16 the metro railways services would be allowed to operate with 50% seating capacity from Monday to Friday. However, the metro services will remain suspended on weekends for sanitization. Also, the state government has not given permission to resume local train services.
