Kolkata: Three IPS officers from West Bengal have been called on central deputation over the alleged lapse in security of BJP president JP Nadda. Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee wrote a letter to the Home Minister regarding the summons of the Chief Secretary and the Director General. In the letter, TMC MP said the law and order is a matter for the state as per the Indian Constitution.
Following the attacks on Nadda's convoy in Diamond Harbour, the centre has alleged that the security of the BJP president was negligent. Today, the centre sent IG (South Bengal) Rajiv Mishra, Diamond Harbor Superintendent of Police Bholanath Pandey and DIG (President Range) Praveen Kumar Tripathi on central deputation. The three IPS officers were in charge of the security of Nadda's convoy.
