Siliguri: Bharatiya Janata Party state president, Dilip Ghosh was blocked by police while he was leading Uttarkanya Abhiyan.
Many police personnel were deployed in parts of Siliguri and Jalpaguri.

The procession was organized by Yuva Morcha. Police were deployed in Siliguri and Jalpaguri and they blocked the BJP state president Dilip Ghosh.

Dilip Ghosh said that the party is working to resolve people's issues in West Bengal. "We are willing to break the law and ready to be detained. Deployment of huge number of police force makes it seem like a war zone," said Ghosh.
Sources said that Yuva Morcha alleges deprival of development in North Bengal over a long period of time.
