Kolkata:The lynching video which was doing rounds on social media where BJP has claimed that its party worker Uttam Ghosh was lynched to death by the TMC backed goons followed by the post-poll violence in West Bengal, has turned to be fake with the recent revelation that the video is from Praia do Futuro, Ceara in Brazil and the gruesome incident happened way back on December 30, 2018.
The incident was projected by the BJP as a video grab of the post-poll violence in Bengal, which has claimed over 13 lives so far and the saffron party alleged that the goons behind the heinous crime were aided and abetted by the ruling Trinamool Congress.
However, the TMC has also brought forward several articles linked to the video grab.

"The only thing that BJP does is spreading lies. They wanted to come to power by spreading lies and propaganda. But, people have stopped them. Now they are trying to spread violence with these fake videos. I urge the people not to get into their persuasion and try to find out the truth," said Trinamool MLA from Panihati Nirmal Ghosh.
Hindu Jagran Manch Uttar Pradesh president Amit Singh shared the same video clip on his Twitter handle and quoted Uttam Ghosh's wife saying, “TMC workers dragged my husband out of the house and dared him to chant Jai Shri Ram. My husband was killed in Gangnapur, Ranaghat while the goons kept saying where are your BJP people now?” The video was also shared on Facebook with the hashtag #BangalBurning.
