Hyderabad: West Bengal will witness its eighth and final phase of assembly polls on Thursday wherein a total of 84,77,728 voters will exercise their franchise.
Bengal phase VIII at a glance A total of 283 candidates including 35 female candidates from 35 constituencies in four districts of Bengal are trying their luck in the eighth phase of the polls.

According to the Election Commission, a total of 11,860 booths have been set up for the eighth phase of polls.
The data compiled by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) stated that, out of 283 candidates, 64 (23%) candidates have declared criminal cases against themselves in their affidavits while 50 (18%) candidates have reported serious criminal cases against themselves.
