Minakhan (West Bengal): There was an attack on the BJP's Parivartan Rath Yatra on Saturday. In retaliation, the Trinamool office was allegedly vandalized. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon at Minakhan in North 24 Parganas. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh was present in the procession.

As per the earlier announcement, the BJP's Parivartan Rath Yatra led by Dilip Ghosh reached near Minakhan police station on Saturday afternoon. Several thousand BJP workers walked with the chariot. Allegedly, when the procession reached the Malancha-Kushgram junction of Basanti Highway adjacent to Minakhan police station, it was suddenly attacked by the Trinamool workers from their party office on the side of the road. A vehicle was vandalized. It is alleged that BJP workers attacked the Trinamool party office in a counter-offensive move.

There were 15 injuries cases reported on both sides in the reciprocal attack. Police, however, quickly took control of the situation. Later, BJP workers blocked the Kolkata-Basanti highway near Malancha Bazar. The BJP alleges that the Trinamool bombed the Malancha area in the evening. Although the TMC denies that allegation.

When asked by reporters about the Minakhan attack, Food department minister Jyotipriya Mullick said, "People are fleeing from all BJP processions. People want to hear what development they have done."
