Uttarakhand: Fire breaks out in furniture shop due to crackers

Fire breaks out at a furniture house in Peepal Mandi at Chinyalisaur of Uttarkashi. Fire tenders and police present at the spot.

Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand):A massive fire broke out in a furniture shop in the Pipal Mandi area of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand on Saturday. No casualties were reported.

As per latest updates, the fire broke out at a shop in a three-storeyed building there.

According to sources, the incident took place this evening when the shop owner was present inside the shop.

To bring the flame under control, fire tenders have rushed to spot. It was soon doused after the immediate intervention of the fire department.

The incident took place due to a mishap with fireworks. Furniture worth Rs 8 lakh has been damaged, sources said.
