Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and DG ITBP SS Deswal arrive in Uttarkashi

MoS for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju and ITBP DG SS Deshwal have reached the Nelang Valley in Uttarakhand, to monitor the situation along the Indo-China international border.

Uttarkashi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Indian Tibetan Border Police Force DG SS Deshwal (IPS) reached the Nelang Valley in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi District, situated close to the Indo-China international border for a two-day visit.

The Union Minister and ITBP DG will interact with the soldiers deployed at the international border. After a night's rest in Nelang on Thursday, they will launch the ITBP Waters Sports Training Center at the state's administrative HQs in New Tehri.

Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and ITBP DG SS Deshwal reached Nelang Valley by helicopter on Thursday morning and were awarded a Guard of Honour by the ITBP personnel and senior officials.

A meeting was also held between the Union Minister and ITBP officials regarding the situation along the Indo-China international border. The Union Minister will also visit the Naga Outpost and interact with the soldiers present at the location.
