Haridwar (Uttarakhand): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat reached Uttarakhand's Haridwar on Monday to attend the 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' event being held in Shanti Kunj here. According to official sources, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami, State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam and State President Mahendra Bhatt attended the event.
Addressing the event, Mohan Bhagwat said, "Nature is our mother. And its exploitation is not right. We all must stand up together and give the message of environmental protection. We all need to understand the meaning of 'Vasudhaiva Kautumbakam', which is 'the world is one family.' We all also need to understand that the progress of India will not just be beneficial for India, but for the entire world. And India will progress only when we all rise above caste, creed or religion. We all must treat everyone with equality. We must not only live for ourselves but for others as well."
