Singh further said that Pant 25 was invented for the farmers of the hills (the Northern Himalayan region) and, Pant 26, developed for the farmers of the plains region (the Northern plains region).

Both the varieties are expected to increase the yield by 10-15%, said Singh.

Sing said the USP (unique selling proposition) of Pant 25 and Pant 26 is that it has more yield per hectare than the traditional varieties and also the immunity of these varieties are more than the usual Soybean.

"The speciality of these seeds are that they are longer than the usual soybean plants, due to which, the crop becomes less prone to be infected. As compared to the traditional varieties of Soybean, farmers may grow 10-15% or 30-35 quintal more Soybeans per hectare, than earlier," Singh said.
