Dehradun: This jack of all trades Man from Dehradun "breathes, eats, drinks--in short, lives optical illusion.
Vidhaata Singh Jaura, 21-year-old man has learnt this art form of optical illusion by juggling the rings just by seeing his father practising it.
He has been performing many attractive arts like Optical Illusion by juggling the rings, Glow Effect, Ignis Pixel Poi, Puppetry and Magic on stages since 2016.
While speaking to ETV Bharat, "I am performing bubble art, Puppetry and creating illusion using rings. I am learning many other and different arts too," Vidhaata said.
Meet this versatile youngster of Dehradun He further said, "I got inspiration from my father for teaching me about this world of magic. "
Practicing the art since he was 16
Vidhaata, a resident of Tagore colony of Dehradun, got his inspiration from his father when he was in 10th standard. He says, "I used to play musical instruments with my father and as he wanted me to do something different; that is when I along with my father began our practice in the art of visual illusion. "
Not only in visual illusion, but he also excels in Glow effect, Digital poi, Puppetry and Magic.
Vidhaata’s Puppet characters
Let us introduce to three special characters: Mischievous Mikku, Dancer Baby Bunny and Rockstar Skelly. All three of them are part of Vidhaata’s puppet act. Mischievous Minku is a monkey and is known for his mischiefs. In his puppet show, one of his characters Mischievous Minku dances on the song 'Hawan karenge' from 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' and surprisingly it can talk too.
His other character Dancer Baby Bunny dances and sings the Bollywood songs.
The most different and unique character Rockstar Skelly is the rockstar in real life. During his performances, Skelly’s guitar is the show stopper.
Vidhaata is working on preparing another character, and with all four of them, he will make the world’s first puppet band. His father, Rajendra Jaura, will provide music for this band.
Chota packet, bada dhamaka
Vidhaata who has been a semi-finalist from the reality show India's got talent has done at both national and international shows.
"I have performed in Maharashtra, Chennai and Gujarat. People feel happy when they watch my show. I get appreciation what I do and it makes me one of a kind," he further added. On asking about the son, father of artist said, "I feel proud when he performs on stage, I am also an artist and when my son performs I feel like I am performing.
He is known for doing 15 types of ring illusions, which is rare in India.
Apart from his puppet and optical illusion shows, he can play the drum and is a magician and musician too. He is also well versed in animation. Keeping his multi-talented persona in mind, India Book of Records, awarded him with the title of 'The Versatile Youngster’ award.
On-stage performances
India's Got Talent, India Banega Manch, Big Celebrity Challenge-Telegu, India Ke Mast Kalandar, 2018 are some of the shows he has participated. He has also shared the stage with Indian Ocean band and singers like Guru Randhawa.
Future plans
Vidhaata is preparing an entirely new puppet show for a show in America. He will also be performing at the IIT Madras cultural festival, Saarang 2020.
