'Loktantra ki Baraat', campaign to aware voters in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag

The district administration of Udham Singh Nagar had conducted a unique awareness programme called 'Loktantra ki Baraat' asking people to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Several traditional vocal instruments were also used during the procession that started from the office of the district magistrate.

Rudraprayag: Have you ever watched people dancing to the tune of upcoming elections anywhere. People here in Rudraprayag district are celebrating the festival of democracy by dancing in a ceremonial procession for upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The district administration of Udham Singh Nagar had conducted a unique awareness programme called 'Loktantra ki Baraat' to create awareness among voters about the importance of voting rights.

People along with PRD constables took part in the awareness programme and several traditional vocal instruments were also used during the procession that started from the office of the district magistrate.

Chief Developmental Officer, N S Rawat said, "We have given the theme of Loktantara ki Baraat to attract people to vote during upcoming elections. We are launching several programmes to educate voters. This kind of initiative is to increase the voter turnout in the region."

Magistrate Gaurav Kumar and CEO C N Kala urged them to vote in high numbers in the upcoming elections.

CDO Rawat informed PRD constables about the importance of democracy and the essentiality of voting rights.
