Uttarakhand cop beaten up for molesting minor

Parents of a six-year-old girl in Uttrakhand's Haldwani thrashed a police inspector for molesting the minor. The inspector has been deployed at the TP Nagar police station area.

Haldwani: A police Inspector deployed at TP Nagar police station in Uttarakhand's Haldwani has been beaten up for molesting a six-year-old girl. The parents of the victim recorded the incident of molestation by the Inspector before thrashing him and posted the video on social media platforms.

The family members of the minor have filed complaints against the accused and have alleged that the Inspector, a resident of the Mukhani police station area, was harassing the minor for the last two months.

The incident came to light on Sunday when the inspector molested the child at a shop nearby his residence after returning from the police station.

Responding to the incident, an official said that the investigation is going on and the accused will be punished if found guilty.
