Dehradun: Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi while defending Punjab Congress State President Navjot Singh Sidhu. Harish Rawat defended Sidhu by sharing the photo of PM Modi hugging Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif on his social media. The BJP has been raising questions about Sidhu's friendship with Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa.

In such a situation, Harish Rawat attacked the BJP and said that today, Navjot Singh Sidhu's friendship with Imran Khan is not acceptable to BJP because Sidhu is in Congress. But when Sidhu was in BJP, he used to be a key member for them in Punjab. At that time BJP didn't have any issue with Sidhu's friendship with Imran Khan.

Harish Rawat also said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi hugged Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif and had biryani at his house, then it is the country's work. While Sidhu hugging another Punjabi brother (General Qamar Javed Bajwa) while thanking him for opening the Kartarpur Sahib be considered treason. This is the double standard of the BJP.
