Dehradun:Days after Uttarakhand cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi blamed ex-chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for the worsening COVID situation in the state, Rawat described Joshi as an inexperienced minister.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Rawat said that Joshi has to learn the basics of his department.
"It takes at least 5-6 months to understand the working of any department and Joshi is talking about the department which he doesn't even hold. So his comments do not hold any importance," Rawat said.
Talking about the current COVID situation in the state, Rawat said the state government had taken steps to control the situation well in advance but restrictions are being enforced only during the past three days.

"The administration has become active now and due to which we are seeing a positive result. We witnessed a higher positivity rate in the last two days although there is not much change in the mortality rate. I hope we continue to get positive results in the coming days too," he added.
Rawat also said that the kind of work Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat is doing will soon see good results. The government also has to continuously monitor the steps taken by it.
