Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand):The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee on Sunday lodged a complaint with the police demanding a probe into the installation of boards asking devotees for donations through QR codes in the temples. Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee chairman Ajendra Ajay said that the boards near the temples asking for donations through quick response (QR) codes were not put up by them.
He said the doors of Kedarnath Dham opened on April 25 and the doors of Badrinath Dham opened on April 27. On the day of the opening of the doors, boards were installed with QR codes for digital payment in both the Dhams. Many devotees started donating considering it as the QR code of the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee, but the shock came when the Temple Committee said that this QR code was not installed by them. But, boards were removed when it came to the notice of the officials of the Temple Committee.
