Rudrapur (Uttarakhand): After 18 years of tireless efforts by scientists of GB Pant Agriculture and University of Technology, biodegradation technology in Uttarakhand's Pantnagar has discovered a technology for disposal of e-waste.
Within a few days of publishing the news in ETV Bharat, two companies from Maharashtra and Karnataka have contacted scientists of the varsity to obtain this technology. For which the team of scientists has thanked ETV Bharat.
According to the scientist, Dr MGH Zaidi of GB Pant Agriculture University, e-waste is generally recycled as household and electronic products of poor standards. To solve this problem, scientists of Pantnagar University for the last 18 years were engaged in developing the method and technology of biological decomposition of bacteria of various plastic materials.
In this connection, Dr Zaidi and his assistants at the university are working to develop a technology of bio-disintegration method.
