Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand is set to start on July 11

The Uttarakhand government has decided to start the Chardham Yatra on July 11. In view of the decline in Covid19 cases, the state government has taken this decision. The Chardham Yatra for the local people from Uttarakhand will start on July 1.

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has decided to start the Chardham Yatra on July 11. In view of the decline in Covid cases, the state government has taken the decision. The Chardham Yatra for the local poeple will start on July 1. At present, only the people of the state will be able to participate in the pilgrimage.

However, from July 11, devotees can attend the Chardham Yatra and visit all the four religious sites in Uttarakhand. However, the visitors must bring a Covid-19 RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen negative certificate. This decision by the Uttarakhand government has come as a sigh of relief for the businessmen associated with the Chardham Yatra. They can now cater to the local people of Uttarakhand arriving at the four main religious sites of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Several businessmen associated with the Yatra route were also waiting for the commencement of the annual Chardham pilgrimage, which was postponed due to the Covid-19 phase two.
