Dehradun:The preparation for Haridwar Mahakumbh set to start from February 27 are in the last stages.

The biggest concern of the government during Mahakumbh is to keep the devotees safe during the Corona crisis for which the responsibility of monitoring the medical facility during the religious festival is given to Delhi All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) besides issuing an SOP.

Uttarakhand government is also busy making arrangements to improve health facilities and preparations are being made to build a hospital of 2 thousand beds in Kumbh region itself.

On the other hand, the Union Health Ministry has also given three important suggestions to the state government - reducing the duration of Mahakumbh, discouraging the elderly, small children and pregnant women as well as sick people to come to Mahakumbh and ensure a limited number of passengers in closed places.
