New Delhi: Realising near-death experiences can be terrifying, a 36-year-old man hailing from Uttarakhand's Dehradun turned into an animal saviour after being diagnosed with mouth cancer a few years back.
Ravi Joshi, who is currently inducted into Uttarakhand forest department's rescue team says he finds peace in rescuing wild animals and giving them another life.
Realising the power of love and care while undergoing treatment for cancer, he decided to impart the same to the wild animals, who are devoid of it.
Recalling his love for animals and attributing it to the forest department, he said," No matter what time of the day it is, I am always ready to rescue wild animals. After joining the Uttarakhand forest department, when I closely witnessed these creatures I became more attached to them. My connection with animals grew stronger after I got involved in the business."
