Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh police have busted a human trafficking gang and arrested two people for allegedly selling off a woman after she was kidnapped in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, an official said on Saturday.
"The victim has revealed that exactly one year ago she was kidnapped by some unknown men, she was further sold off for six lakhs rupees to a family in Rajasthan and was later forced to marry the son of the same family," Omprakash Singh, Additional SP in Sonbhadra said.

"I was on my way to market when some unknown men kidnapped me. I was then sold off in Rajasthan and was forced to marry a man. The family kept me within their control and didn't allow a normal life. I later had a baby that's when I kept begging from the in-laws to send me back home. They instead sent me back to the kidnappers in Uttar Pradesh. These men took me to my sister's place in Sonbhadra. After we reached villagers informed the police and they were arrested," Shobha, the victim said.
Police said that the probe is underway to uncover the human trafficking operation.
