Woman grievously hurt in gas cylinder blast in UP

A woman suffered serious injuries in a gas cylinder explosion when she was cooking food at her home. The fire triggered by the blast killed a buffalo and turned the currencies worth Rs 45000 kept in the home into ashes.

Muzaffarnagar: A woman suffered serious injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in Khushipur village on Tuesday morning, the police said.

According to circle officer Ram Mohan Sharma, the incident occurred when the victim, Shakila was cooking food at her home.

The fire triggered by the blast killed a buffalo and destroyed currency notes worth Rs 45000, he added.
