Gonda (UP):In yet another case of medical apathy, a woman gave birth lying on the floor in front of a district hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district on Thursday.
The incident came to light when a journalist uploaded the video on his social media platform.
Earlier, hospital authorities had denied any such incident.
Woman gives birth on floor at hospital premises in Gonda, video viral However, after watching the video, CMS AP Mishra accepted the mistake and apologised for the same.
He said, "It may be possible the hospital staff took the patient for a morning walk and the patient went into labour. So, the staff were forced to deliver the baby at the hospital premises."
He also added that strict action will be taken against the concerned staff members.
