Woman confined, allegedly raped for 15 days in Jaunpur

According to the victim's family, she was coerced into going to the neighbour's house by the man who stays there and was allegedly kept confined there for 15 days, during which she was raped.

Jaunpur:A woman was allegedly confined and raped for 15 days in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur by her neighbour.

According to the victim's family, she was coerced into going to the neighbour's house by the man who stays there and was allegedly kept confined there for 15 days, during which she was raped.

Surendra Kumar, the advocate representing the victim also reiterated the family's statement and said they have registered a police complaint with the Line Bazaar police.

The inspector has promised full cooperation into the matter and launched an investigation. The victim has also been sent for medical examination.

Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested.

Speculations are rife that the victim and perpetrator were romantically involved.
