Bareilly (UP): A Hindu woman from Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly has accused a Muslim man and his two brothers of allegedly gangraping her and forcing her to convert.
Police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and booked six people including three other women, two of whom, according to the victim, locked her up and recorded a video of her being raped.
In her complaint, the victim from Shahi police station area said she used to run a beauty parlour in her house where Tarannum and her friend Ghazala used to visit often. She alleged that once Tarannum invited her to her home where she locked her in a room. Tarannum's brother Akleem alias Babu Qureshi was already present in the room, the complainant claimed.
She alleged that Akleem threatened her with a pistol and then raped her. Tarannum and her sister Shahana made a video of the rape and forced her to convert and marry Akleem by threatening to make the video viral on the internet, the victim alleged.

The woman said that Akleem married her "forcefully and took all her jewelry". She further alleged that he sedated her and took her to Allahabad, Banaras, Akbarpur, Ajmer and Bihar from where they reached Agra. In Agra, Akleem and his brothers Shadab and Visal repeatedly gangraped her, she alleged adding they also "forced" her to eat meat.
The woman said she "escaped" from the brothers in November and then lodged a case against the accused. Bareilly SSP Akhilesh Kumar Chaurasia said that following the complaint by the woman, a case has been registered against Akleem Qureshi, Shadab, Visal, Tarannum, Shahana and Gazala under relevant sections of law.
