Balrampur (Uttar Pradesh):Expressing dissatisfaction over the police probe into the case, family members of the deceased woman from Balrampur, who had allegedly been gang-raped, said they would self-immolate if their daughter does not get speedy justice.
The family members accused the police of being lax towards the accused after arresting them, and said they were not getting the desired support from the local police.
The family members, including the victim's mother, threatened to burn down the accused's house and even self-immolate in public if their daughter does not get justice soon.
The family also claimed that the police have not arrested the other accused in the case, and were taking money to bury the case.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Verma said that multiple teams have been constituted which are investigating into the case at their level.
He added that while the police have arrested four persons till now, several other suspects are currently being questioned.
A woman from Balrampur had died on September 29 after she was allegedly gang-raped.
