Aligarh:With six Covid-19 patients fully recovered in past three days, the Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), claims a remarkable recovery rate.
A 63-year-old patient who tested positive 10 days ago, was discharged from the hospital on Monday evening, doctors at the hospital said.
The JNMC has tested 7,680 samples from Aligarh, Mathura, Noida, Kasganj, Hathras, Bulandshahar, Agra, Rampur, Etah and 185 have been found Corona positive so far, said Professor Haris M. Khan Nodal Officer and Chairman Department of Microbiology.
The AMU Vice Chancellor Professor Tariq Mansoor lauded relentless efforts of doctors and other health workers and expressed satisfaction over the treatment given to the patients.
The medical college has set up a special covid ward to treat Level-2 patients and it has become operational four week ago. In all eight patients have been discharged so far and seven patients are under treatment, said Professor Shahid Siddiqui, Principal JNMC.
