Uttar Pradesh: Half-burnt body of minor girl found in Kanpur Dehat

A half-burnt body of a 12-year-old girl has been found in the Jaitapur village of Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Dehat district. The victim's family has filed a complaint of alleged kidnapping, rape and murder.

Kanpur:Panic has gripped the Jaitapur village in the Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh after a half-burnt body of a 12-year-old girl was discovered in the village.

The girl was allegedly kidnapped from outside her house on Wednesday night and her body was found in a guava orchard, just 200 meters away from her house, police said. The incident took place under the Mangalpur police station limits.

On getting informed ADG Bhanu Bhaskar and Kanpur Zone IG Mohit Agarwal reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy.

The father of the victim has filed a complaint of alleged kidnapping, rape and murder. Family members said that the minor was sleeping outside her house and they found her missing in the morning. On searching the nearby area, they found her half-burnt body without clothes and a cot at the crime spot.

According to police, the apprehension of sexual abuse will be cleared after the post-mortem. A probe has been launched to nab the accused.
