Uttar Pradesh: Father throws 3 daughters in Ghagra river

After a feud with his wife, an alcoholic man threw his three daughters in Sant Kabir Nagar's Ghagra river from Birhar bridge on Monday morning. The accused (32) was arrested, along with his friend who helped him in the act.

Sant Kabir Nagar:A father, with the help of his friend, threw his three daughters in Sant Kabir Nagar's Ghagra river from Birhar bridge on Monday morning.

After receiving the information, the police reached the place of incident and deployed SDRF personnel and local divers to fish out the bodies.

The accused (32) was arrested along with his friend who helped him in the act.

After the interrogation, it was learnt that the accused is an alcoholic and went ahead with the act after a fight with his wife.

Police said that the girls who were thrown away mercilessly have been identified as Sana (7), Saba (4) and Sama (2).

However, his fourth daughter who is 7-month-old, escaped the deadly fate.
