UP: Girl gets death threat for riding bullet; FIR registered

"They said they would kill both of us if she ever rode the bike again," the girl's father told the police. The police have registered an FIR under sections 504, 506, 323, 352 and 452 of the IPC against Sachin, Kullu and two others.

Greater Noida(Uttar Pradesh):A case has been filed against four men in Greater Noida for allegedly threatening a girl and her father over her driving a 'bullet' motorcycle.

The incident took place on August 31, at about 1 o'clock in the afternoon when the accused boys attacked the girls' home by firing in the air with a gun and death threats were given to the family after which the father lodged the complaint.

The case has been registered by Jarcha police.

The accused boys are of Milak Khatana village of Jarcha, the same village from where the victim's family lives.

Sunil Mavi, the father of the girl told police in his complaint that the boys were irked as the girl was riding bullet (Royal Enfield) which hurt their 'male ego' after which they threatened to kill her if she rode again.

Sunil said, "They told him it doesn’t look good that a woman was riding a bike and asked to stop immediately. When he did not budge, they threatened to harm his daughter."

He further said: "The situation went out of control when Sachin (30) and Kullu (28) — and two of their associates came home and did open firing towards the ceiling. I ran towards upstairs, where Kullu came and tried to kill me. They fled when I began shouting for help."

The police have registered an FIR under sections 504, 506, 323, 352 and 452 of the IPC against Sachin, Kullu and unidentified persons on the complaint of Sunil Mavi. The investigation is underway against the accused.

However, the accused has not been arrested yet.

Satish, a former pradhan of the Jarcha village said, "The matter has been resolved and the case has been withdrawn."

The accused who has a criminal history has agreed not to trouble the family again, said the former pradhan.

SP Dehant, the police of Jarcha said that no information about the panchayat and the decision has been informed to them.

He said, "No compromise has been made and the investigation of the case against the accused in process, they will be arrested soon."
