Mathura:Uttar PradeshPowerMinister Shrikant Sharma, who is on a two-day tour in Mathura, taking a jibe at Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, said that both of them do politics on dead bodies which they should not. Sharma said they should introspect.
Speaking about the Rajasthan Temple priest's murder incident, he said that it is a very embarrassing and very regrettable incident. "We believe that the government there will work on this whole episode very seriously. But there should be no politics on deaths," Sharma said.
"Congress party and especially Mr Rahul Gandhi ji and his sister Priyanka ji, these people do politics on dead bodies. They should not do that. If you have sensitivity then why didn't you go to the priest's house, your family did not hug them. Do not do politics on such incidents, it is very wrong. It is a heinous crime. The guilty should not be spared. But there should be no politics on this," he added.
Suggesting the both Rahul and Priyanka should self-contemplate, Sharma asked why they have double standards.
"If such incidents have happened, then you condemn it but politics should not happen," Sharma said.
