UP Deputy CM calls Mayawati and Akhilesh - 'Nakli Bua and Nakli Bhatija'

UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya called Mayawati 'Nakli Bua' and SP president Akhilesh Yadav 'Nakli Bhatija', reacting to the BSP Supremo's statements of terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'fake' OBC leader.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): After Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati had reportedly called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'fake' OBC leader, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya retorted by calling her 'Nakli Bua' (Fake Aunty) and Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav as 'Nakli Bhatija' (Fake Nephew).

"It is Mayawati's anxiety that is making her say so. On one hand, you have 'nakli bhatija' and on other you have 'nakli bua.' They are insulting the PM by using such language," Maurya had said.

The statements of the Deputy Chief Minister came after Mayawati asserted that 'Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav was the only 'real' backward community leader in the country and not a 'fake OBC' leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi'.

"There is no doubt that he (Mulayam) has joined people from all groups (of the society) under the SP banner. He does not come from a fake backward community like PM Modi, he is the real OBC leader," she had said while addressing a rally here on Friday.

The voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh concluded with a turnout of 67.55 per cent on Thursday.

The remaining 64 seats will go to polls in the next five phases of elections, and counting of votes will take place on May 23.
