Lucknow: On the third day of the monsoon session of the UP Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a scathing attack on the opposition on several issues while replying during the discussion on the supplementary budget 2021-2022. During the discussion, UP CM said that some people in the opposition are shamelessly supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan, who are brutalizing women and children. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that some people want to do Talibanization here too.
The comments of the Chief Minister came a day after Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq and two others were booked for "freedom struggle" comment on the Taliban's takeover. Barq had earlier on Tuesday supported the regime change in Afghanistan and said that the Taliban is fighting for the freedom of their country and Afghan people want freedom under its leadership.
