Pratapgarh:A motorcycle rider on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway in Sarai Bahaliya was on Saturday shot at by local goons. In a separate incident on the same day, another youth was shot at when he was out to relieve himself.
The bike rider, Abdul Haleem was on his way to his home from Bhupimau when he was attacked.
Haleem is appearing as a witness in his father's murder case. His relatives said a few months back some goons had murdered his father over property issues and Haleem was threatened too.
The attackers absconded and Haleem was taken to the district hospital where he was treated and referred to Prayagraj.
In another incident, Sandeep Saroj from Laalganj was shot at when he went to the fields to attend nature's call. The attackers tried to snatch his phone away and when he resisted they fired on him.

He was hit on the shoulder and the attacker escaped. Hearing Sandeep's cry the relatives reached the spot took him to hospital.
The relatives say Sandeep does not have bad blood with anyone in the area.
Commenting on the rampant shooting accidents, SP Anurag Arya said the police reached the district hospital upon getting the information. He told that 3 teams have been set up to catch the accused and everything will be revealed as soon as possible.
