Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh): Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested and 20 kg of 'Doda post' (a kind of opium) was seized from them in Kairana town of Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district on Thursday.

Around 20 kg 'Doda post' (a kind of opium) was confiscated from two people in Kairana town of Uttar Pradesh. A case was registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The arrest was made on Wednesday, the officials said.
The arrested accused were identified as Irfan and Naushad. A case was registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Circle Officer Rakesh Tiwari said.
