Rampur:Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Mohammad Azam Khan has now been charged with the theft of buffaloes after land grabbing and book theft allegations.
According to reports, two separate FIRs were filed on the same day accusing Khan of stealing buffaloes. In their petition, the SP MP and his supporters have been accused of stealing the cattle for Azam Khan's 'Gaushala.'
A lawsuit has been filed against around 20 people under sections 504, 506, 427, 395, 448 and 492 of CrPC. The SP leader was earlier charged with offences ranging from book theft, from Aaliya Madrasa which were later recovered from Jauhar University, which bore madrasa's stamp.
Azam Khan is already facing charges under land grabbing, filed by farmers who claim that he usurped their land for Jauhar University, of which Khan is the founder.
