Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh):Three persons of a family were brutally shot dead by unidentified miscreants while one person critically injured in Hodalpur under Kotwali police limits in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj on Sunday.
The identities of the deceased persons yet to be ascertained. However, police confirmed that all deceased persons are of the same family.
Three of family shot dead over past rivalry in Uttar Pradesh According to sources, the incident took place this evening when the family members were busy in their work. Suddenly, some unidentified miscreants barged into the house and took up an argument with the family members.
In the meanwhile, the miscreants fired several rounds of bullets at the four people killing three of them on the spot. Immideialty the miscreants fled from the spot.
After hearing the gunshots, some locals rushed to the spot and found the three people died there and one person lying in a pool of blood. They immediately rushed the injured person to a nearby hospital.
Later, the injured person was shifted to Kasganj DHH as his health condition deteriorated. The health condition of the injured person is stated to be critical, sources said.
On being intimated, Kasganj police rushed to the spot started an investigation. However, the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. Preliminary investigation suggested past enmity to be the reason behind the firing.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the incident. The bodies will be handed over to the bereaved family members of the deceased persons after post-mortem, sources added.
