3 killed, 1 hurt in separate road mishaps in UP

At least two youths were killed after the bike they were travelling on was hit by a truck on Kandhla road near Budhana here on Tuesday night. In another incident, a man was killed and his friend suffered injuries when their bike was hit by a speeding truck on Bhopa road in the district.

Muzaffarnagar (UP): At least two youths were killed after the bike they were travelling on was hit by a truck on Kandhla road near Budhana here on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Asim (24) and Wasid (26), residents of Kurthal village of the district. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police said on Wednesday.

According to reports, the accident occurred when Asim and Wasid were tavelling in their motorcycle on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, a speeding truck from opposite direction hit head-on with the bike killing both the rider and ride pillion on the spot.

The truck driver fled the scene and the vehicle was seized, police added.

In another incident, a man, identified as Nitu, was killed and his friend suffered injuries when their bike was hit by a speeding truck on Bhopa road in the district on Tuesday evening.

The injured was rushed to hospital, police said.
