Uttar Pradesh: Stray dog menace in Uttar Pradesh is on the rise. Incidents of feral dog attacks have increased manifolds in the state in the past few months.
The latest incident took place in Saharanpur's Dayalpur village where a 28-day-old infant was mauled to death by the canines and the remains were recovered from the forest.
In another such incident, a three-month-old boy was mauled to death by the feral dogs in the same district.
Besides this, 3,373 dog bite cases have been reported this year in Siddharthnagar district of the state.
The canine attack is not limited to one or two districts but is prevalent across the state. On Friday, 14 people were admitted to the hospital after being attacked by dogs in the state.
Despite several complaints by the locals, local authorities have not taken any concrete measure to check the menace.
