Sitapur:'Parenthood requires love, not DNA.' Somewhere along these lines, a couple from Spain reached India three years back in search of a child to raise.
Marcos Antonio Gomez and Mariya Lusiya Calvodale from Madrid, Spain decided to adopt a child from India after their friend shared her experience of adoption. "India is a great country. We had a friend who also adopted from here and they are very happy," said Mariya with glitter in her eyes.
Orphaned soon after birth, Kartik from Sitapur had no idea what destiny had for him. The year 2016 changed his life when the couple from Spain decided to adopt Kartik as their son.
Official paperwork took three long years to unite the couple with the boy.
