Uttar Pradesh minister's PRO gets threat on phone

Ved Prakash Dubey, the PRO of Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Minister, said a caller demanded one crore rupees and threatened to kill him if the money was not paid.

The police are investigating the call made on August 26.

Dubey, a resident of Nawabganj Gurdwara said that on August 26, he was doing public hearing at his residence at 11.29 am when a message came on his mobile.

"Give one crore, if not, I will shoot you," the message read.

Dubey added that as he was reading the message a call came on his phone at 11.32, but he could not speak. Later he called the same number and someone said, "PRO sir, give me one crore or else I will shoot you".

Just after that, the phone was disconnected. After this, he called the number several times, but the call did not connect.
