A shopkeeper in Varanasi has gone an extra mile to ensure the safety of his customers and himself. He dons a PPE kit to while selling his products and also sanitises the money he receives from them.

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh): Paan or betel leaves is an integral part of the life of Indian people and the city of Banaras or Varanasi is known for making the best Paan in India.

Amid COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, shopkeepers find it difficult to sell Paan to customers as it might increase the chances of contracting the infection.

However, a shopkeeper, Vishal Chaurasia in Banaras came up with an idea to sell Paan to its customers.

Vishal Chaurasia sells Paan wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kit.

Vishal Chaurasia, while selling Paan to the customers donned in all white PPE kit talking to ETV Bharat said that though he feels sweaty wearing the kit in this summer season, he makes it sure that there is no loosening in terms of precautions.

Not only this Vishal also sanitises his shop daily and makes sure the customers are also doing the same.

Further, he sanitises the money received from the customers.

Vishal also said that he changes two PPE kits in a day and also gives free face masks to the customers who are not wearing one.

Vishal said that he is doing this to protect himself, the customers, and his own family as he comes out to work out amidst pandemic.

By donning PPE kit while working Vishal has set an example for others to follow.

The customers are also happy over the steps taken by Vishal to ensure safety for the customers.
